  • Victoria and Albert Vintage Florals

    These gorgeous designs were inspired by the VINTAGE FLORALS ,BLOSSOM designs held at Victoria and Albert Museum. They have a distinct William Morris feel to them.
    Victoria & Albert Museum’s latest collection of fabrics, entitled ‘Vintage Florals,’ is based on a selection of the V&A’s extensive holdings of printed textiles and wallpaper designs from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Provenance: ‘Flowers’ and ‘Trees’ Portion of colour machine printed wallpaper, produced by Jeffrey & Co., England, 1875–1925 ‘Leaves’ Design for a tapestry by C.F.A. Voysey (1857–1941), London, about 1897–99 ‘Main Flower’ ‘Poppies’ furnishing fabric designed by Lindsay Phillip Butterfield (1869–1948), manufactured by Turnbull & Stockdale, England, 1901 ‘Small Floral’ Furnishing fabric of printed cotton velvet, Britain, 1890s ‘Stripe’ Portion of wallpaper, designed by William James Neatby, colour woodblock print on paper, produced by Jeffrey & Co. England, 1907.
