Birdie Bird Batting Queen Size is a revolutionary new product that will change the way you quilt! This product features a layer of 100% cotton batting as well as 100% cotton flannel – stitched together into one product. Due to the adherent quality of the flannel, this single product eliminates the need for any pinning or basting. No more pins! No more basting! Just think of all the time you can save!
- Size: 92.5″ x 108″
- Composition: 100% cotton flannel & 100% cotton batting
- Shrinkage: 2%-3% (flannel is pre-shrunk. Only shrinkage is from cotton batting to still give an antique, puckered look)
- Stitch up to 10″ apart
- Low loft
- Washing Instructions: Machine wash cold / tumble dry low
This wadding can be quilted or tied up to 10″ apart. Pre-washing is not recommended. Upon washing, 3% shrinkage will give an antique, puckered look. This wadding is stable when hanging, without any distortion.
Also, it is made with the finest materials to guarantee your final product is up to your personal standards. Each batting is hand cut as well as hand inspected to ensure to highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Instructions for use:
1. Do not pre-wash backing fabric*
2. Lay out backing with wrong side up
3. Place the flannel side of the batting on the backing fabric and smooth out any wrinkles
4. Place quilt top on batting and smooth out any wrinkles
5. Fold up 6″ to 10″ and continue to smooth out fabrics by running hands along the folded edge
6. Continue folding and smoothing until you have done this for all yardage
7. You are now ready to quilt!
Pre-washed fabric can be used – just use caution while quilting to prevent any slippage
