10.00am to 4.00pm
Skill level: All levels.
Spend a day learning to make this specular “woven” quilt top using fabric scraps of 2.5inch wide.
This quilt uses 20 blocks and has a border 6in finished width with inserts of 2 1/2in strips to continue the woven effect with random spacing.
You can be as controlled or as random as you like in your choice of fabrics to ‘weave’. Try using just two colours to weave, or light blue and dark blue for example.
This version is scrappy to use up odd ends, but you can use fabrics from pre cut Jelly Rolls. Carolyn has used one fabric in this quilt as the background and the border, but you
can vary this fabric as long as they blend together as a background and do not fight against the woven fabrics.
Please bring with you, or purchase on the day:-
