Description
Free Motion Machine Quilting (Jennie Rayment) – Time: 10.00am to 4.00pm
Skill level: All levels.
Learn the art of Free Motion Machine Quilting with Jennie Rayment, an experienced Patchwork and Quilting Tutor, as well as a regular contributor on the Create and Craft TV channel. Her stunning quilts have been exhibited all over the UK including at the Festival of Quilts. Jennie is as entertaining as she is knowledgeable, and a real joy to be with.
This is a day of fun, introducing you to free motion machining which can be developed for quilting and embroidery. From this you will be able to create beautiful designs to enhance your quilts.
With Free Motion Quilting you are “drawing your designs” with your machine whilst sewing, using your darning foot. Whilst this can be daunting at first, Jennie will talk you through the basics starting with setting up your machine to produce some fabulous results.
Beginners to experienced quilters wanting new inspiration are welcome in this class.
Please ensure that you are familiar with your sewing machine and arrive to class with your sewing machine threaded, and “ready to go”. If you are not familiar with your sewing machine, please do book a one-to-one session prior to your workshop.
