Machine Piecing Hexagons with Carolyn Forster
Join in on the journey of making beautiful hexagon quilts with Carolyn Forster by Machine Piecing Hexagons. Using large hexagons and triangles, machine piecing is a breeze. It is so much easier than it looks.
This is a particularly good class to come to if you have attended Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably’s November 2023 Colour Workshop which focusses around hexagons and triangles or if you are thinking of making Kaffe Fassett’s Succulent Hexagons Quilt. Any hexagon style quilt will be so much quicker machine pieced.
One day Workshop: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Skill level: All levels
Join in on the journey of making beautiful hexagon quilts with Carolyn Forster. Using large hexagons and triangles, machine piecing is a breeze.
Carolyn will show you how to machine piece hexagons and triangles together as well as cut partial and half hexagon shapes for filling in the outside edges of hexagon projects with a straight side. She will be teaching Y seams to join amongst other techniques. Carolyn really is the “Queen of Hexagons” having written her best selling book Hexagon Happenings which shows a complete step-by-step photo guide to hexagon techniques and projects.
There will be advice on quilting your finished project, as required.
