Este draws inspiration from her garden and surrounding areas around lakes and rivers where she lives in Berkshire. From her studio she observes Jays, woodpeckers, blue tits, magpies and the occasional nuthatch coming to the bird feeder. On her daily walks with her dog, swans, kingfishers and herons are seen. It is only natural that birds and flowers appear in her work.
