Promenade Pattern, Studio Linen by Erika Knight, is a pattern for an oversized, wide neck sweatshirt knitted in mismatched intarsia stripes to create a centre front and back detail. With a longer back, side vents, shaped front rib and bracelet length sleeves in a wider stripe.

This pattern uses Studio Linen yarn by Erika Knight, which is made from 85% recycled linen fibres blended with 15% premium natural linen. These fibres are twisted and dyed in Italy and the resulting product is a yarn with a dry hand feel, cool drape and subtle sheen; a yarn that just gets better with wear and age. An ancient fibre recycled for a modern maker.

Sizing

Materials

  • Studio Linen yarn – S = 5 & 6 skeins, M = 6 & 7 skeins, L = 7 & 7 skeins, XL = 7 & 8 skeins (2 colours)
  • 3.25mm/US 3  circular needle
  • 3.75mm/US 5 needles
  • Stitch markers
  • Large eyed blunt tipped sewing needle

Tension

22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm/4in meas over St st using 3.75mm/US 5 needles.

Change needle size if necessary to ensure the correct tension.
