JC266 Cora Quilt Pattern by Janet Clare is designed to use Layer Cakes (LC) and is constructed using a single block style! Coupled with two complimentary fabrics, using a single LC creates a quilt 63” x 57” (160 x 145cm) to be made, and with two LCs the size can be extended to 81” x 85 ½” (206 x 217cm). Naturally, it is easily extended further by cutting additional rectangles and making more blocks!
The cover quilt blends cream, blue, pink, and green prints from the Sweet Cecily collection for Moda, but you can easily choose your own. Use the little colour swatches to help you select fabrics to create your quilt.
The pattern is printed in full colour quilt pattern and explains how to construct the blocks, piece the quilt top and includes notes on alternative layouts and designs and adding the quilt backing, wadding, layering up and binding.
It is constructed using traditional quilting techniques and whilst having some patchwork experience will make this project easier, the techniques are simple to learn, making it suitable for all experience levels.
