Sakura by Lewis & Irene

Sakura by Lewis & Irene

‘Sakura’ is the Japanese word for Cherry blossom and a national flower of Japan. ‘Hanami’, which means flower viewing, is the Spring tradition of viewing the Sakura where family and friends can gather to enjoy drinks under the masses of blossom . This custom celebrates the transient beauty of flowers and we think a wonderful way to celebrate the new life that Springs brings.

The gold metallic on each of these fabrics not only looks lovely but is inspired by the Japanese art of ‘Kintsugi’ when broken ceramics are repaired using gold which highlights the flaws and cracks. A fabulous way to prolong the life of an object and rather than throwing something away, it’s made into something beautiful.
