Aurifil 50 WT/2ply Thread
Aurifil’s 50wt/2ply thread is 100% Cotton thread, made in the Mako region of Egypt.
It is versatile and a popular choice, available in many colours, and is wound on an iconic orange spool.
The threads have achieved worldwide success thanks to a dedicated tribe of quilters, sewists, embroiderers, and textile artists who choose the thread for its versatility, its strength, and the fact that it produces virtually no lint.
The 50wt thread is strong and thin, and results in remarkably flat and crisp seams. It is wonderful for piecing, subtle quilting, and top-stitching.
