100% Natural Cotton wadding, Hobbs Heirloom. This wadding/batting is designed for those that enjoy using natural cotton wadding. Also, for those seeking extra strength in the wadding/batting.
Strong and soft is perfect for quilts where a low loft is desired.
This soft and pliable wadding/batting is made with very clean, high-grade, unbleached, long-staple, virgin cotton. Combined with a very thin, polyester scrim (stabilizer) which is needle-punched into the cotton fibers. This scrim provides superior strength to the cotton, also preventing the cotton batting from stretching and distorting as it’s manipulated.
Hobbs Heirloom Cotton Wadding/Batting w/Scrim should be paired with medium or dark fabrics – if paired with white or light-colored fabrics, natural (unbleached) cotton can slightly darken the fabrics.
Quilting/stitching may be up to 8″ apart with this wadding/batting, providing quilters with many more design options!
Wadding Remnant. Our end-of-roll wadding remnants make great quilting practice pieces and are ideal for small projects.
Of course, you can always take advantage of our great remnant deals and join pieces together using Heat Press Batting Tape. Simply butt the wadding pieces up together,and iron on Heat Press Batting Tape, to make large pieces.
