Box & Cox Pattern – Foundation Paper Piecing 3D Patchwork

£8.50

From the Fooling the Eye Series by Little Patch Pockets.

Description

Create a striking three-dimensional patchwork design with the Box & Cox Pattern from Little Patch Pockets. This clever geometric design uses Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) to create an eye-catching 3D effect, making it a fantastic project for quilters who enjoy modern geometric patchwork and optical illusions.

The finished Box & Cox panel measures approximately 20 x 20 inches, making it ideal for a small wall hanging or cushion. Alternatively, make additional blocks to create a larger quilt or customise the design to suit your project. Because the design is Foundation Paper Pieced, the blocks can ultimately be made to any size.

The Box & Cox pattern includes full instructions for the designer’s preferred Foundation Paper Piecing technique, instructions for assembling the finished panel and foundation papers to copy, trace or print.

Experiment with light, medium and dark fabrics to emphasise the three-dimensional effect and create your own colour combination. The designer also recommends using three Trillium fabric packs to make a 20 x 20 inch Box & Cox panel.

A versatile pattern for cushions, wall hangings and larger quilts, Box & Cox is a great choice for patchworkers looking to try Foundation Paper Piecing while creating a contemporary geometric design.
