🎓 Skill Level: All levels welcome

Get ready to nip, tuck, twiddle, and fiddle your way to a uniquely textured quilt panel in this fun and creative workshop with the one and only Jennie Rayment — world-renowned quilting teacher, author, and entertainer.

In this full-day workshop, you’ll explore nine ingenious fabric manipulation techniques to add surface texture and dimension to your work. Each technique is taught step-by-step in class, and when combined, they form a spectacular Sudoku-style panel — complete with a little added embellishment for extra flair!

✂️ What You’ll Learn:

  • Nine different surface manipulation and texture techniques

  • How to combine textured blocks into a striking panel

  • Embellishment ideas to enhance your final piece

  • Fabric handling tips, including starching and pressing for best results

These techniques are versatile and can be used in quilts, wall hangings, fashion, or home décor projects.

🧵 Materials & Fabric Tips:

  • Works beautifully in a single colour or a range of tones

  • Choose batiks, plains, hand-dyes, silk, or natural fibres with no obvious right/wrong side

  • If using calico (USA muslin), opt for medium-weight over lightweight

  • Pre-wash fabrics if desired, but press with spray starch (e.g. Best Press) to restore body
