JC256 Good Tidings Quilt Pattern by Janet Clare. Create “Good Tidings”, a quilt about actively looking for positivity and cherishing each moment. A variation on a courthouse steps block with some applique and free motion stitching you can really personalise this quilt to make it a unique heirloom to cherish.
The pattern provides detailed instructions and templates to guide you through the piecing of the top, creating the appliqué and embroidery, free machine drawing, quilt construction, layering and binding.
Using traditional patchwork piecing and fusible appliqué, having some patchwork experience will make this project easier, but the techniques are simple to learn, making it suitable for all experience levels.
The quilt is jelly roll friendly! A jelly roll is a fabric bundle containing forty strips of fabric, each 42” x 2 ½”. These are used as part of the construction of the log-cabin blocks in this design.
Finished quilt measures 66 x 66 inches.
