Golden Lily Buttermere, PWWM028.Sunshine.  The strong diagonal arrangement of J.H. Dearles Golden Lily (1899) gives structure to the entwining lily stems and tendrils. One of Morris & Co.s greatest legacies.

Buttermere’ refers to an area of the Lake District in the UK. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is heavily inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement with William Morris as a significant influence. The lovely bright palette in the collection of vivid yellows and iconic blues running throughout evokes the stunning landscapes and interiors found in the area. Morris patterns can be found in various influential houses around the area such as ‘Daisy’ in the Beatrix Potter House.
