Join renowned British textile designer Janet Clare at Lady Sew and Sew for a fascinating evening talk exploring her creative journey with Moda Fabrics, from the first spark of an idea through to the finished fabric collection.
In ‘Moda and Me’, Janet will take you behind the scenes of her design process, sharing how an initial thought develops into sketches, illustrations and ultimately a beautiful fabric collection. Discover how Janet creates her distinctive designs for Moda, the inspiration behind her collections and how she translates her ideas from the drawing board into fabric.
Janet will also talk about her approach to designing quilt patterns, explaining how her ideas develop into finished projects, as well as sharing insights into her quilting books and the creative process behind them.
There will be an opportunity to see Janet’s latest Moda fabric collections, patterns and books up close, making this a wonderful evening for anyone interested in fabric design, quilting and the creative process. Janet will also be available for a book signing, giving you the chance to have your favourite Janet Clare book signed.
The talk will last approximately one hour, followed by a Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to ask Janet your own questions about her designs, fabrics, patterns and books.
