Wadding Talk 11am – 12pm: How to Choose the Right Wadding for Your Quilting Projects (£15, includes Goodie Bag)

Join Vanessa for an engaging and practical talk on choosing the perfect wadding for your quilting projects. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced quilter, Vanessa will guide you through the different types of quilt wadding—including cotton, polyester, bamboo, and blends—explaining how each affects warmth, loft, drape, stitch definition, and overall finish.
This session will help you understand how to match wadding to different projects, from bed quilts and baby quilts to wall hangings and decorative pieces. Vanessa will also share her tips for testing wadding, avoiding common mistakes, and selecting the right wadding for both hand and machine quilting.
By the end of the talk, you’ll feel confident choosing wadding that complements your fabrics, enhances your quilting techniques, and ensures your projects look professional every time.

Join Vanessa for a hands-on rotary cutting session where you’ll revisit the essentials and learn expert tips to improve your accuracy and confidence. Whether you’re brand new to rotary cutting or just want to brush up on your skills, this tutorial is the perfect place to sharpen your technique!
All equipment is included for use during the workshop, but if you prefer to bring your own then please do so – Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat and Ruler

You are invited to our Janome Sewing Machine Event and Warehouse Open Day here at Lady Sew and Sew in Henley

We’ll have:

Lauren Tedstone from Janome will be joining us in the Henley-on-Thames Warehouse on Saturday, July 11th

She’ll be showing the Sewing machines and Overlockers, and giving pre- booked demonstrations of a range of Janome feet and accessories, all designed to expand the creative potential of your machine.

PLUS You can save 10% on Janome feet and accessories bought in the Warehouse on the day.

Bring your sewing machine to us on Saturday 11th July for a Sewing Machine Health Check with Sarah, our qualified Sewing Machine Engineer. All major Sewing Machine Brands accepted. A health check ensures your machine runs smoothly, prevents costly repairs, and keeps your sewing projects on track.

£20 per check | Approx. 30 minutes | Limited spaces – booking essential
