Boro Fabric Pack includes all the fabrics you need to complete this quilt top. Kaffe tried to use only his darkest woven stripes for this quilt, so that they almost become invisible. Kaffe then hand-stitched Kantha-style stitches in contrasting thread through the rectangles. He has taken his woven stripes and placed them on an inky background to pay homage to the antique cloth pieces used by Japanese farmers. This quilt would suit a nature that is moved by dark subtle structure and balance.

Many of the antique cloth pieces used by Japanese Farmers were made from hand-dyed indigo textiles, some were also hand woven stripes in blacks, browns and indigo blues”
