JC259 Victoria Quilt Pattern by Janet Clare is an entrancing quilt design using three tones of patterned fabrics, indigo, mid blue and cream, and traditional patchwork blocks and techniques to create a wonderful geometric cloth.
‘‘Victoria’ and her quilt brother ‘Albert’ were inspired by a visit to ‘The fabric of India’ exhibition at the V&A where I encountered a beautiful double woven cotton cloth called Khes which follows a grid system.’ – Janet Clare
With detailed instructions to guide you through the block construction and piecing, the pattern also includes lovely colour photographs, make it suitable for novice and experienced stitchers alike. A detailed layout diagram showing the exact arrangement of fabrics and lots of supporting photographs, enables you to confidently re-create the design. There is also a blank colouring sheet provided test out your own colourways and designs.
The finished quilt measures 70 x 70 inches.
