The Shot Cotton range from Kaffe Fassett and his design team.
Created as a response to the need to have some plain and calmer block in the quilts and to isolate the richly coloured strips and floral prints.
Quilting fabrics are first woven and then printed or dyed with a colour and or pattern.
Shot cottons are woven using two different colours of hand-dyed cotton thread one colour is used for the warp, and another colour is used for the weft. This combination of fibres gives these fabrics a soft, almost iridescent look.
Perfect for adding texture and colour to your sewing projects.
