Description

Texture into Sudoku (Jennie Rayment) – Time: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

Skill level: All levels.

Nine ingenious ways to create surface texture and manipulated magic. Create all nine ideas in class and combine them to create an amazingly marvellously nipped, tucked, twiddled and fiddled panel with a little added extra embellishment.

These designs can be made from one colour or use a variety of shades. Batiks/plain coloured/hand-dyed cotton, silk, or other natural fabrics with no obvious right/wrong side are a good choice of material.

If desired, pre-wash all materials but use a spray starch when pressing to restore ‘body’, such as Best Press. If using all calico (USA muslin) – it is advisable to select a medium-weight rather than a light-weight weave.

All classes are suitable for every level of sewing ability.

Jennie is a world-renowned quilt teacher, lecturer, author of nine quilt books and numerous patterns.

From Houston to Qatar, Durban to Melbourne, Auckland, and many other international cities, Jennie has wowed them all with her superb teaching style and hilarious lectures all laced with wit, charm, and professional expertise.

Please ensure that you are familiar with your sewing machine and arrive to class with your sewing machine threaded, and “ready to go”.  If you are not familiar with your sewing machine, please book a one-on-one session before your workshop.
