Winter Solstice Throw Quilt Kit by Lewis & Irene includes all fabrics for the quilt top, binding, and the pattern. The design features the sun on stonehenge, bordered with the beautiful fabrics from the Winter Solstice collection.
The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year, when the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky. Since prehistoric times, this moment has been honoured with festivals and mid-winter rituals—celebrations of the turning point when the diminishing daylight reverses and the hours of sunshine begin to grow again. These Winter Solstice fabrics, each brushed with metallic accents, are a tribute to the Winter Solstice.
Designed by Sally Ablett, the finished quilt top measures approximately 54″ x 54″.
All the fabrics that you need to create this quilt top, with binding are included in the kit—just add your favourite wadding and backing.
To complete the quilt you will need:
approx. 58″ x 58″ of a backing fabric of your choice
approx. 58″ x 58″ of wadding, we suggest using 72″x 90″ 80/20 Hobbs Heirloom® Premium Cotton Blend Wadding (Twin)
