One-Day Bargello Patchwork Workshop with Anita Birtles
10am to 4pm
Workshop Description
Join Anita Birtles for a one-day Bargello Patchwork Workshop and learn to create stunning Bargello quilts with professional guidance. Bargello quilting is inspired by the traditional embroidery technique and transformed into vibrant, flowing fabric patterns. This workshop is perfect for beginners who have some experience with rotary cutting and sewing accurate quarter-inch seams and want to take their patchwork skills to the next level.
During this hands-on workshop, you will learn the strip set method to create eye-catching Bargello patterns. By the end of the day, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to complete a 36” x 48” quilt from 20 strips or a larger quilt using a full Jelly Roll. Using a mix of dark, medium and light fabrics ensures your colours really pop, making your quilt visually stunning.
Whether you’re a beginner keen to explore new patchwork techniques or someone with unfinished projects, this workshop is an inspiring way to develop your skills in a supportive, friendly environment.
