Shell Rummel is passionate about designing beautiful products, from bedding, bath textiles and rugs to tabletop accessories – and of course fabric.

All are unified by her signature painterly style, watercolours being her preferred medium, the unpredictability of painting with water often resulting in surprising variations and subtle imperfections, giving her designs an inherently organic, natural quality as well as a softly refined feel.

Shell’s work is a direct reflection of what catches her eye, from lines and layers to textures and colours: truly inspired by nature, she says, ‘My artistic creation involves engaging all the senses, and my art and design are the purest essence of me. I strive for the artist’s hand to be felt in all I create.’
