‘Patina is a natural creation, sometimes formed on beautiful metals. It can be the blue-green verdigris pigment or patina that forms naturally on copper, brass, and bronze surfaces due to oxidation. It can be the colour of the rust forming on iron, the tarnish on silver, or the sanded surface of driftwood. The formation of a patina of nature is a slow and tranquil process, never rushed. Place beautiful designs over the colours of patina, and you have my inspiration for Tranquil Patina. I adore the effects of nature.’
