Description
🧵 One Day Patchwork Clinic (Anita Birtles)
10am to 4pm
Our One-Day Patchwork Clinic is designed for quilters who have started a project but need guidance, motivation, or expert advice to move it forward. This supportive and relaxed workshop invites you to bring along your unfinished patchwork projects and receive practical, hands-on help to overcome problem areas and confidently finish your work.
Whether you are struggling with borders, quilting, binding, colour placement or construction issues, this clinic offers personalised tuition tailored to your individual project. If you have attended a beginners’ patchwork class but have not yet completed your quilt or sampler, this is the perfect opportunity to refresh your skills, ask questions and gain the confidence to finish what you started.
Ideal for all levels beyond beginner, this one-day patchwork workshop focuses on problem-solving, skill-building and helping you achieve a finished result you can be proud of.
Please bring with you, or purchase on the day of your workshop –
- Your unfinished quilt that you would like help and advice on completing.
- Rotary cutting equipment – board, cutter (with a new blade)
- Ruler – two straight rulers (ideally one 24” in length and the other 12” in length)
- Sewing machine in good working order and threaded, 1/4 inch foot (or all presser foot if you do not have a 1/4” foot) and sewing machine manual
- Paper scissors and notebook
- Fabric scissors
- 50 wt sewing machine thread in neutral colour (aurifil 50 wt thread is ideal)
🧵 Sewing Machine Reminder
To help you make the most of your workshop time, please ensure that you are familiar with your sewing machine and arrive with it threaded and ready to go. This will save valuable time at the start of the session and allow you to get stuck into sewing straight away!
If you’re not yet confident with your machine or need a refresher, why not book a one-to-one session with us before your workshop? We’ll help you feel comfortable and confident, so you can focus on learning and enjoying your class.
